At Seedfield we enjoy playing together as well as working together. On this page you will find activities which take place regularly. Of course there are many ‘one off’ events throughout the year. You will find these listed in the news panel on the home page or on the diary of events page.

Pantomime

The pantomime at Seedfield is a long standing activity. It has been an annual activity for about 45 years and is produced by Seedfield Methodist Stage Society. Its great success over the years is due to the philosophy that anyone in the church can contribute in some way

It brings together all ages and abilities. In this year’s show almost 100 people were involved in some way from age 7 to age 85! Being involved fosters a great sense of community and of course provides the wider community with a great piece of entertainment. To the right you can see some photographs of this year’s show ‘Jack and the Beanstalk’

Table Tennis Club

The table Tennis Club has existed at Seedfield for many years. It is a way for people of all ages to take part in healthy exercise in the church environment. The club takes part in the Bury and District Table Tennis League and supports six teams in five divisions. Our club night at the church is Monday although away matches can be on other days.

Men’s Night Out

The middle Friday of each month is when some of the men of the church gather for some food and drink at a local restaurant or pub and take part in some interesting discussions. Inevitably there will always be some part of the evening where some deep theological issue is addressed but we also enjoy sharing experiences, winding down and updating ourselves on general matters. Every few months we join with the ladies to make it Everyone’s Night Out.
