• Fashion show Wednesday 8th July at 7.30 pm. tickets £3 from Ann Mears, Pam Swain, Val Simpson, Lynne Telfer and Lucy Thompson. Light refreshments will be served during the evening. Many designer items from Next, Diesel, Armarni, M&S, Miss Sixty, Bench, Principles, Oasis, River Island all at fantastically reduced prices. Payment on the night, cash or cheques.
• Just a few thank you’s to everyone who helped over the last couple of weeks in the preparation and presentation of Seedfield’s scout group float in last Saturday’s carnival. Thanks also to Ken Mears for his planning and work at home and to Paul Hinchcliffe for supplying the vehicle and giving up his day. It was a great team effort and for those who gave up their time and for their hard work, thank you. Everyone had a fantastic day and the boys loved it. It was great to see parents joining in, you were fantastic pirates! Well doneeveryone! A proud day for Seedfield. Ann Mears - Exec Chairperson.

.Ladies’ Night Saturday 18th July. This will be a Safari Supper. 3 ladies have volunteered to serve 1 course of a meal at their house. Starters will be at the home of Ann Mears, then we will walk to Louise Westwell’s for the Main Course, then to Val Simpson’s for Dessert. On this occasion we would like to invite husbands/partners but singles and friends are also welcome. If you would like to join in please contact Ann Mears on 0171 764 3669 or text 07545776205 with names and any info on special dietary requests. The cost is £4 per person with any surplus money being donated to charity.

Commend or Complain How often have you felt like complaining about a TV programme, advert etc? Have you ever thought about commending someone for a really good film? Who do you contact about the media. Tim Boaden (social responsibility) has a limited number of cards produced by CARE charity that provide clear steps, tips and contact details so you can contact the right organisations or controlling bodies. They need to hear from us in order to help shape media presentations. Please ask Tim for a card.
